Japanese Chicken Wings


 

Ingredients

3lbs chicken wings

  • 1 egg

  • 1 cup flour

  • 1 cup butter

  • 1 tsp salt

  • 3 tbs soy sauce

  • 1 cup sugar

  • 1/2 cup white vinegar

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 3 tbs water

Step 1

Pre-heat oven to 175 °C (350 °F).


Step 2

Lightly beat the egg. Coat each wing in egg and then coat with flour.


Step 3

Heat butter in a large, deep skillet over medium-high heat. Fry wings until they’re deep brown. Remove from heat and place in a shallow roasting pan.


Step 4

In a separate bowl, combine remaining ingredients and pour half over wings.


Step 5

Finally, bake in oven for 30 to 40 minutes, basting with sauce often.
